Thought Questions, day 112: What is your greatest challenge?

I got these questions from Danielle’s blog Underland to Wonderland, where I came across a post in which she talked about the website Thought Questions and their 365 thought-provoking questions to ask yourself. My friends Katrin, Celeste and Jasmine have also been answering these questions, so be sure to go check out their blogs too!
Day 112: What is your greatest challenge? Probably being kind, though I hate to admit it. I think I’m naturally a little sharp-tongued and it can be hard for me to remember to be kind to people I don’t like when I know they aren’t around to hear what I say.

Thought Questions, day 111: When you help someone do you ever think, “What’s in it for me?”

Day 111: When you help someone do you ever think, “What’s in it for me?” I don’t want to sound like a bighead, but no. It isn’t how I was raised and I really try to consciously avoid looking at life through that lens. I think that if you’re only doing something charitable because of the return then it isn’t really charity at all.

Thought Questions, day 110: When do you feel most like yourself?

Day 110: When do you feel most like yourself? Probably when I’m wearing my comfiest pajamas, curled up in my favorite chair, with a big mug of tea and a book. I’m pretty sure my true inner self is a 70-year-old woman or something.

Thought Questions, day 109: What would you not give up for $1,000,000 in cash?

Day 109: What would you not give up for $1,000,000 in cash? My relationships. I think having people you love is more important than material wealth.

Thought Questions, day 108: If your life was a novel, what would be the title and how would your story end?

Day 108: If your life was a novel, what would be the title and how would your story end? This is a hard one! The title would probably be something like I’d Rather Be Reading. I could talk about all the public events I was compelled to attend when I could have been curled up at home with a book. Like all fairy tales, there would have to be a conflict–we must get her out of the house!–and a charming guy, who would be just fine with me reading all night instead of attending a ball. And we live happily ever after.

Thought Questions, day 107: Who or what do you think of when you think of love?

Day 107: Who or what do you think of when you think of love? For some reason I think of the way my husband has a cup of coffee waiting for me when I get out of bed each day. He’s never been a coffee drinker and when we started dating he didn’t even like the smell of it, but he insisted on learning how to fix it just the way I like it so he can make it for me in the AM, since he knows I can’t function without it! To me it’s those little gestures that really say “I love you” more so than flowers or fancy dinner dates.
