Random Thursday: Where do you like to go on vacation?

To be honest…I’m kind of a homebody! I like to relax on the couch with a stack of books and something yummy to eat.

When I do get off the couch though, I like to be out in nature. I like to hike. I love those dense old forests that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, and I love the mountains.

If I have to be in an urban area, I like to wander off the beaten path to explore. You can find cool shops, eateries and other interesting places if you get away from the crowds and the tourist hotspots.

I’ve also been to the beach in Oregon a couple of times and it’s gorgeous there! I’d love to go back.

There are lots of other places I would like to go too, I just haven’t gotten there yet. Where do you like to go on vacation? Or what’s your fantasy vacation spot?

I’m kind of a homebody too, I would say that my favorite place to vacation is the mountains, because I love them, but I live there LOL. I do love to go to the beach, it’s one of my absolute favorite places to go. My fantasy vacation spot would be either Hawaii or Australia!

I love seeing nature when on vacation. Some of the most beautiful sight I’ve seen are the Grand Canyon, the clear blue water on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and the rocky mountains of Colorado. I prefer to avoid the crowd but if there’s something worth seeing, I’ll put up with it. Aside from nature I enjoy looking at architectural structures or monuments. In the cities, I definitely love going through specialty shops and finding unique gems.

Nature is the best. I remember vacationing in the UP when I was a kid and it was so beautiful! I really miss it, especially in the autumn when I know the trees will be changing color like crazy. We don’t really get that where I live now, sadly.

Oh, I also love to be at home and have time to read some books. I rarely find enough time for that so a whole week of reading would be awesome. :)

Being at home is the freakin’ best! So much so that I havent left it in weeks. Seriously, I know it’s kind of pathetic but it’s so nice to just be a homebody.

Thanks so much for linking up with us!

The best vacations for me are staycations. Time off from work is so precious and my top priority is just to de-stress and relax. Going somewhere else isn’t really as relaxing for me as just staying at home. :)
