While reading Danielle’s blog Underland to Wonderland, I came across a post in which she talked about the website Thought Questions and their 365 thought-provoking questions to ask yourself over the course of a year. I decided that I would start answering one of the questions each day for the next year. Not only will this give me a reason to blog every day for a year straight, it will get my creative juices flowing–and I think it will be fun! If you join in please leave me a comment so I can see your answers too. :)
Day #8: Who do you love and what are you doing about it?
Well, obviously I love my husband very much. As for what I’m doing about it, I think when you love someone you’re willing to invest work into the relationship, even when it’s not easy, and goodness knows marriage is never easy. But I love him enough to work through our bad spots and find little ways for us to connect, since we’re apart so much with our crazy work/school schedules. Even if it’s just eating burritos and watching TV for an hour, he appreciates it when I step away from whatever I’m doing and carve out that time for us.

Aw, thanks :) I wish my cats would snuggle like that! They both prefer to nap solo though!

Great question. I need to carve out more time for Brett. I get so busy with work, blogging, volunteering that we are starting to miss the little moments.

It’s hard to find time with our busy schedules!

Aww I agree. Marriage is tough and you have to be willing to compromise, respect each other, and be forgiving. I love my kids. They’re the only reason why I still have love left in me.

I think it has to be hard to raise kids, and you have to put a lot of love into them! I have so much respect for people working so hard to raise their kids, especially single parents like yourself.

Definitely… it’s most important to carve out time for the people we love. And awww those kitties are super cute; even they know to make time for cuddling. :)

Sometimes I think animals have much better priorities than humans! :P

Marriage definitely takes work, and it’s takes prioritizing the other person, but it’s worth it for this kind of love!

Definitely!
