I got these questions from Danielle’s blog Underland to Wonderland, where I came across a post in which she talked about the website Thought Questions and their 365 thought-provoking questions to ask yourself. My friends Katrin, Celeste and Jasmine have also been answering these questions, so be sure to go check out their blogs too!
Day 54: In the haste of your daily life, what are you not seeing? The art of everyday life. When you slow down you start to see all of the angles–the way sunlight slants across a wall, a sunset, the variations in hue in a patch of wildflowers along the road. When you’re rushing you miss these tiny brushstrokes that make life so beautiful. They don’t have to be still life details either; they could be a smile on a child’s face or an elderly couple holding hands in a park. I try to remind myself not to rush too much, because life is too blah when it goes by in a blur.

Beautifully said. I always try to remind myself of the little things in life. There are so many wonderful things which make you smile…you just have to see them!

True! I feel like having animals around helps, because they’re so leisurely about things–they’re not rushing around like mad and they don’t care about the clock–so they get you to slow down, too.

Totally, totally agree. I love it when I find a new piece of street are of cafe in my own city…and then wonder how I didn’t see it earlier!
