I got these questions from Danielle’s blog Underland to Wonderland, where I came across a post in which she talked about the website Thought Questions and their 365 thought-provoking questions to ask yourself. My friends Katrin, Celeste and Jasmine have also been answering these questions, so be sure to go check out their blogs too!
Day 56: What lifts your spirits when life gets you down? Music. There’s a song for very mood and when I’m feeling blue, listening to music is a surefire way to cheer myself up again. It’s also great for relaxing when I’m stressed out about something. Lately I’ve been listening to The National’s Trouble Will Find Me on repeat–it’s so melancholy and yet somehow, not depressive at all. M83 is another band that always relaxes me.

Music is always a good idea! Or animals and books!

Yes! The cats make me quite happy :)

I can ONLY listen to music when I am happy, otherwise I end up tainting the songs with negative emotions! Kitty makes me so happy, she has been my truest friend over the years!

Aren’t pets the best?!

I COMPLETELY agree! I would choose music over TV any day. Put on the right song, do a little dance and suddenly everything is better!

It’s such an amazing mood lifter!

Music for me too! Nothing cheers me up faster than listening to upbeat music, especially pop from the 90s. How can anyone feel sad after listening to Britney Spears lol? :)

I like music but I can’t really say that it lifts my spirit. Food and retail therapy is nice but moral support helps me the most I think. Nobody wants to feel alone when they’re feeling down. I can cope with a lot of things on my own but it’s more comforting and encouraging when have a shoulder to lean on.

Sometimes moral support is more powerful than anything else people can possibly offer.
