There’s something about Death Cab that’s just so soothing when I’m having a stressful day. What music do you listen to when you’re stressed?

I forgot how much I liked this song until I rewatched Hardcore Henry this weekend. And seriously–this movie is one of my faves. It has everything I want in an action movie–great stunts, music, and plot twists. Ilya Naishuller wears almost every hat you can imagine–he wrote, directed, produced, acted in, and composed music for Henry. He’s also a comic book author and the frontman for Biting Elbows. And he has a new movie that just came out this week, Mr. Nobody–I’m psyched to see it!

I have been absolutely obsessed with this music video since I discovered it last week. I already love John Mayer as a musician, and this song is an earworm, but this video (and the comment section on YT!) is just absolutely golden. It’s even better knowing he made this before the rise of Tik Tok dances and jokes about changing your Zoom background while working from home. The man just woke up and chose chaos and I love it.
I almost forgot to link up this week! I feel like my theme song changes pretty frequently, but lately it’s “Happy”. Things in my life have been pretty good the last few months and I always feel like dancing. (I’m a terrible dancer but I’ll still groove to this whenever it comes on.)
I’ve been impatiently waiting for months for this soundtrack to hit streaming services. I don’t know why, it just makes me super happy and it’s the perfect soundtrack while I’m doing chores around the house. (‘Follow Me Into the Storm’ is another fave track.) Although, if you listen to closely to the lyrics, this song sounds like a slightly menacing love song from a smart house. Have I just been watching too much TV in quarantine? Possibly!
